Truecallers spam list is being updated on a daily bases with new numbers in order to keep you safe by warning you about them when they call. There can however be cases where we don't warn you and it might be because the app has been "killed" from running in the background. Below you'll find a few tips and tricks to keep you safe under all circumstances.
- Do not force-quit Truecaller. If you do that (by double-tapping the home button and swiping up), the phone will prevent background tasks until you relaunch Truecaller.
- Make sure "Background App Refresh" is enabled.
1. Phone settings
3. Background App Refresh
4. Find Truecaller and toggle it on
- After restarting your device or after installing a new system update, you need to relaunch Truecaller to keep everything running again as Apple only allows apps to work in the background if they've been launched at least once after restarting.
