Assistant Activation in South Africa

We are working on adding new carriers to the activation list

Carriers that you can activate the Assistant with:

MTN:

Follow the directions below to manually activate Truecaller Assistant:

  1. Disable your phone's Wi-Fi connection.
  2. Open your phone's main dialer, dial one of these two codes, and hit call:


**61*875503599#

**67*875503599#

**62*875503599#


3. Once the call is successfully forwarded you can end the call. You should see this screen: 



**If the condition says busy or unanswered, this means it is also successful**


Note: If the message states call forwarding activation was a success then you are done. If it failed redial the activation code.

 

Didn't work?

You will need to temporarily disable your phone LTE to enable the service.


Android Instructions:

Go to your Android Settings
Go to "Network and Internet"
Go to "Mobile Network"
Turn off "Enhanced 4G LTE Mode"


Vodacom:

Follow the directions below to manually activate Truecaller Assistant:


1. Try manually these codes: *67*[875503599]# OR *004*[875503599]#


2. Check the following-

Ensure your SIM is voice-enabled (not data-only, IoT, or M2M)

For prepaid users, make sure you have available airtime

Dial: *#67# - If you receive "Not allowed" or "Service unavailable", contact Vodacom support and ask them to enable Call Divert/ Call Forwarding on your line.

Temporarily disable Wi-Fi Calling and VoLTE, then retry activation


3. If the issue persists, a SIM swap at a Vodacom store may resolves the problem by resetting network provisioning on the line.
