If there are specific message categories you don't wish to see notifications for, you can disable them from Settings > Messaging > select "Manage preference", where you can see a list of notification categories. However, if you wish to turn off all message notifications, you can switch it off from "Settings > Messaging > Smart SMS > Smart Notifications & Smart Reminders".
