Call recording iOS

1. What is the Call recording feature?

This feature gives you the ability to record incoming and outgoing calls.

2. How does Call recording work?

In order to record a call you will need to call a recording line - a special number provided by Truecaller and merge (connect) that call with the other call you want to record. This will create a conference call. Once you end that joined call you will receive a push notification about a new recorded call.

For incoming calls:
- Answer the incoming call, then open the Truecaller app and go to the Search tab.
- Tap on the “Record a call” button and call the recording line.
- On the call screen, you’ll see the option to merge those two calls.
- After ending the conference call you will receive a push notification once the recording is ready. That notification will take you to the list of all your recorded calls.

For outgoing calls:
Open the Truecaller app and go to the Search tab. Tap on the “Record a call” button and call the recording line.
- On the call screen, you’ll see the option to add a call. Tap on it and pick a phonebook contact or manually enter a number you want to call.
- Once you’re back on the call screen you will have the option to merge those two calls.
- After ending the conference call you will receive a push notification once the recording is ready. That notification will take you to the list of all your recorded calls.

3. Where are my recorded calls stored?

All the recorded calls are stored on your iPhone. A backup (copy) of the recordings can be also saved on your iCloud.

4. What can I do with a recorded call?

You can listen to it, rename, delete, or share it through another app, e.g. Airdrop, Messages, or Mail.
