Call Alert

How do Call Alerts work in Truecaller?

Call Alerts notify you before your phone rings when a Truecaller user calls you.
This gives you a few seconds' heads-up—so you can choose to silence the call, prepare to answer, or ignore it altogether.

How is the alert delivered before the call?

The alert is sent using Wi-Fi or mobile data, directly from the caller’s phone to yours.
Because data transmission is typically faster than standard cellular calls, the notification reaches you before the actual call connects.

Who can trigger a Call Alert?

Only Truecaller users can send Call Alerts.
If someone not using Truecaller calls you, you won’t receive the alert.

Does this feature need special permissions?

Yes.
You need to enable Notifications for Truecaller in your phone’s settings for Call Alerts to work.

Can I turn off Call Alerts?

Absolutely.
Go to Truecaller > Settings > Call Alerts and disable it anytime.
