Truecaller identifies millions of spam calls and messages every day. Our spam list is built from community reports, users who choose to mark calls or messages as spam.
What types of calls are marked as spam?
Reports help you avoid:
Fraud or criminal activity
Abusive or obscene calls
Crank calls
Telemarketing calls
Robocalls
General phone spam
Scams (e.g., pyramid schemes, fake tech support, impersonation of banks)
How are spam tags removed?
If reports for a number drop below a certain threshold over time, it’s automatically removed from the spam list. All related spam data is then deleted.
What if my number is wrongly marked as spam?
