What are Contact Requests?
Contact Requests let you ask specific individuals for their phone numbers and other contact details. Information is only shared once the recipient approves your request.
Available on Android version 13.48 and above.
Who can send Contact Requests?
Only Android Premium users with access to this feature and on version 13.48+ can send contact requests.
Who can receive Contact Requests?
All Truecaller Android users can receive contact requests.
How do I send a Contact Request?
If you’re a Premium user with access to the feature, open the person’s contact details page and tap Ask for Contact Details (available only on version 13.48+).
How will I know if someone sends me a Contact Request?
You’ll get a notification. You can also check:
Profile → Contact Requests → Pending
Premium screen → Contact Requests
How will I know if someone accepts or declines my Contact Request?
You’ll receive a notification. You can also view updates in:
Profile → Contact Requests → Updates
Premium screen → Contact Requests
How do I accept or decline a Contact Request?
Go to:
Profile → Contact Requests → Pending
Premium screen → Contact Requests
Where can I see my Contact Request history?
All users can view history in:
Profile → Contact Requests → Updates
Premium screen → Contact Requests
Can I send Contact Requests to iOS users?
No. Cross-platform requests are not supported.
Is there a limit to how many Contact Requests I can send?
No limit, as long as you’re a Premium user with access to this feature and using version 13.48+.
Why can’t I send Contact Requests?
Possible reasons:
The recipient is on iOS
You’re using an older version
A system-related issue
I’m on an older version. What can I still do?
You can still view and accept/decline requests from:
Profile → Notifications
But you won’t be able to send new requests until you update to the latest version.
