Fraud Insurance on Truecaller

What is “Fraud Insurance”?

It’s a benefit introduced by Truecaller in partnership with a third-party provider. It offers up to ₹10,000 in reimbursement for call/SMS-based fraud on your Truecaller-registered number.
Only available to non-business/non-professional users.


Availability

Q: Is it available worldwide?
No, only available in India for both Android and iOS users.


Eligibility and Activation

Q: Who is eligible?

  • Indian residents (including NRIs and foreign nationals using Indian SIMs)

  • Must be 18+ years old

  • Short-term travelers abroad are also eligible

Q: How can I get it?

  • New users: Purchase a yearly subscription to Premium, Premium Family, Assistant, Assistant Family, or Gold.

  • Existing users: Just update to the latest app version — no extra action needed if you’re on a valid yearly plan.

Q: Do I need to pay extra?
No. If your plan includes it, the insurance is included at no additional cost.

Q: Do I need to submit documents?
No documentation is required at the time of registration.


Registration & Policy Details

Q: How do I register?
Go to the "Fraud Insurance" card on the Premium screen and follow the prompts.

Q: Is re-registration needed every time the subscription renews?
No. The insurance renews automatically with your Truecaller subscription.

Q: What’s the policy period?
From the day you register until your Truecaller subscription ends.

Q: What if I transfer my subscription to a new number?
The insurance moves with it. Just update the number in the partner portal from the Fraud Insurance card.


Claims and Coverage

Q: How do I raise a claim?
Open the Fraud Insurance card on the Premium screen and tap to submit a claim.

Q: How many claims can I file in a year?
You can raise multiple claims, as long as the total payout doesn’t exceed ₹10,000.

Q: Is it transferable to someone else?
No. The policy is non-transferable.

Q: Can I cancel it separately?
No. It’s bundled with your Truecaller subscription. Cancel the subscription, and the insurance ends too.


Family Plans

Q: Are family members covered under Assistant/Premium Family plans?
Yes. Each member is eligible and covered individually for up to ₹10,000.

Q: Who do I contact for questions or help with a claim?
Use the self-help portal provided by the insurance partner. It’s linked inside the Fraud Insurance card on the Premium screen.
